BPAA Celebrates 2027 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Nominees

The Broward Principals and Assistants Association (BPAA) proudly congratulates the outstanding school leaders named as 2027 Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year nominees for Broward County Public Schools.

Each year, the Caliber Awards recognize educators and leaders whose work makes an extraordinary difference for students, employees, families, and school communities throughout Broward County. The Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year nominees represent the dedication, innovation, resilience, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by school-based administrators across the District.

“Being nominated by your school community is an incredible honor because it reflects the impact of leadership that is felt every single day,” said Sabine B. Phillips, President of BPAA. “Our principals and assistant principals lead with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to their students and employees. Principals and assistant principals are at the center of their school communities. They set the vision for student achievement, develop and support employees, build meaningful relationships with families, maintain safe and welcoming campuses, and respond each day to the evolving needs of the students and communities they serve.

Assistant principals are also essential partners in that work, balancing responsibilities that span instructional leadership, student services, operations, employee support, school safety, family engagement, and countless other areas that contribute to the daily success of a school.

“Great schools are built by great people, and strong school leadership creates the foundation that allows everyone else to thrive,” said Lisa Maxerll, Executive Director of BPAA. “These nominees represent the very best of what school-based leadership can be. Their recognition is not only a celebration of individual achievement, but also a reminder of the tremendous responsibility our principals and assistant principals carry on behalf of their students, employees, and communities.”

BPAA extends its congratulations to all 2027 Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year nominees and looks forward to celebrating them throughout the Caliber Awards season.

As the spotlight turns toward this exceptional group of leaders, BPAA invites the Broward community to join us in recognizing their service, celebrating their accomplishments, and thanking them for the difference they make every day.

Congratulations to all of our 2027 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year nominees!
